Abstract

Objective In order to evaluate the clinical feasibility and reliability of three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy and intensity modulated radiation therapy of domestic middle-energy medical accelerator XHA1400, we examined the X-ray dose output, mechanical property and safety of it. Methods Based on GB15213-2016 Medical Accelerator Performance and Test Method and AAPM TG142, and referring to the related accelerator quality control standards of imported equipment manufacturers such as Elekta, we conducted a comprehensive verification of the accelerator XHA1400. Results In addition to the results of the linear requirements, XHA1400 indicators had reached quality control standards. Conclusion XHA1400 has good dose output accuracy and mechanical performance accuracy, and the main indicators are not inferior to the imported accelerator. It meets the most of clinic requirement of the three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy and intensity modulated radiotherapy. However, there is still some shortages. Its dose output linearity should be further calibrated in order to better meet the requirement of small field dose output in clinical intensive radiation therapy. What's more, we should equip the accelerator with cone-beam CT for higher imaging quality.
