Abstract
A quaternary ammonium modified poIyether- amino siIicone (QPEAS) was synthesized by the ring- opening reaction of seIf- made epoxy terminated siIicone oiI (α,ω- ESO) with tertiary amine poIyether (TAM). QPEAS was emuIsified with hydrophiIic poIyether- amino siIicone speciaI emuIsifier SAa, it with the storage stabiIity and deIicate hydrophiIic poIyether- amino siIicone emuIsion. The chemicaI structure of QPEAS, its emuIsion, and its membrane configuration on the fiber surface were characterized by means of IR, nanopar-ticIe size anaIyzer, Zeta potentiaI anaIyzer and scanning eIectron microscopy (SEM). The effects of chain Iength of tertiary amine poIyether, dosage of emuIsifier and ethyIene gIycoI butyI ether (EM) on the appIication perfor-mance for the cotton fabric were aIso discussed. The resuIts showed that the average particIe size of the QPEAS emuIsion was 54.8 nm, Zeta potentiaI was +32.6 mV, and it had a good fiIm- forming abiIity on fabric surface. When tertiary amine poIyether was TAM- 1 000, the dosage of emuIsifier was 5% and the dosage of EM was 20%, the softness and hydrophiIy of fabric was improved, the whiteness basicaIIy remained un-changed and it had a better washabiIity.关键词
