Application of Plant Growth Retardants in Ornamental Plants
摘要
Abstract
This paper reviewed the development of plant growth retardants, and summarized the classification, regulation, physiological effects and application methods of growth retardants. It pointed out that the growth retardants could effectively control the plant type and flowering period of the plant by inhibiting the synthesis pathway of gibberellin, and enhance the plant resistance, delay plant senescence, strengthen the accumulation of nutrients and affect the synthesis of endogenous hormones. So, the growth retardants could have a broad application prospect in the cultivation of ornamental plants. However, at present, basic researches on the growth retardants are too concentrated and the overall level needs to be improved. Scientific and technological innovation should be strengthened to promote the effective and rational use of growth retardants in future production process.关键词
