摘要

Abstract

Objective To investigate the expression of microRNA-155 (miR-155) in peripheral B cells of the patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Methods Sixty-six SLE patients and 10 healthy controls were enrolled in the study. The B cells were isolated from peripheral blood, and the expression of miR-155 in B cells was detected by fluorescence quantitative real-time RT-PCR (qRT-PCR). The levels of IgG in supernatants of B cells were determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) after miR-155 expression was intervened by electrotransfection. Results The expression of miR-155 was significantly increased in B cells of the patients with SLE compared with healthy controls (P<0.05). After intervention of the miR-155 expression with miRNA inhibitor, the levels of total IgG in the supernatants of the cultured B cells were significantly decreased. Conclusion The study indicates that the up-regulated miR-155 expression may be involved in the regulation of B cell function in systemic lupus erythematosus.
