Analysis of the Influence of Aluminum-fiber Board Structures on Sound Absorbing Coefficients

Abstract
The sound absorbing coefficients of aluminum- fiber boards with different structures were studied experimentally. The relation between the sound absorption performance and the structures was obtained. According to the experimental results, compared with the traditional 3-layer aluminum-fiber board, the 4-layer aluminum-fiber board can achieve a better sound absorbing ability with smaller thickness and shallower cavity. The average sound reduction coefficient of the 4-layer aluminum-fiber board with a thickness of 1.3mm and the cavity depth of 100mm is 0.78. When the cavity is filled with some sound absorbing fibers, the sound absorbing coefficient will be improved at all frequencies, and the average sound reduction coefficient will increase to 0.94. These test results are useful for the design of high quality sound absorbing structures with aluminum-fiber boards.关键词
