摘要

Abstract

The metamaterial/meta-structure possesses the ability of controlling elastic waves with sub-wavelength scale microstructure, which brings a new means for low-frequency vibration suspension. In this paper, a lightweight embedded meta-structure is proposed for multi-mode vibration control. Firstly, the band structure of the meta-structure was analyzed based on periodic cell analysis, the factors that affect the band-gap generation are investigated. Through the numerical simulation of the finite-sized meta-structure, its vibration suppression effect for different vibration modes is verified. Finally, two strategies for simultaneously isolating both longitudinal and transverse vibrations in the same frequency range are demonstrated. The proposed meta-structure is lightweight, non-destructive to the original structure, easy manufacturing and assembling. Therefore, it has a great potential in various engineering applications.
