Abstract
In order to further study the effect of vibration damping and anti-wear of a new guard rail system in the small radius curve section, which considering a new guard rail structure characteristics and the interaction between wheel and rail, the curve section of wheel/rail contact model was established, and was analysed by mechanical characteristics. Based on a small radius curve section of a subway, the new guardrail and no-installation guardrail approximate routes for different speed of online testing, hammer test, and wave grinding test. The tests show that with guard rail, the acceleration level of the vertical vibration decreased 2.2 dB, while the lateral vibration reduced 3.1 dB. When the train speed increased from 40km/h to 55 km/h, the vibration acceleration of the rail also increased gradually in both the case with or without the rail. But the transverse vibration can still be reduced by 3.4 dB. At the same time, the wave abrasion of the protective track is significantly reduced at the wavelength of about 50 mm. The new type of vibration damping effect is furtherly verified by the theory of the characteristic frequency with uncontinuous support. Theoretical analysis and test results show that the installation of new guard rail can restrain the vibration of steel rail and slow the growth of rail corrugation.关键词
