Determination of Dynamic Parameters of Viscoelastic Thin Bar using Wave-speed Measurement by Pulse Method

Abstract
A broadband method to identify the dynamic parameters of viscoelastic bar using wave-speed method by broad band pulse signal is presented. A sample bar is longitudinal excited by a shaker on which a controllable impulsive source method is employed to generate different impulse signals. The longitudinal vibration velocities of the free end of the bar and the driven end of the exciter are recorded by a laser vibrometer. The incident wave at the free end of the bar can be approximated by half of the measured longitudinal vibration velocity of the free end. Thus, the storage modulus and loss factor can be calculated over a wide frequency range by the complex velocity ratio using wave-speed method. The proposed method is experim experimetally ental lyverified by comparison with the viscoelastic apparatus test.关键词
