摘要

Abstract

Objective To investigate the monocyte count-to-high density lipoprotein-cholesterol ratio(MHR) in obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome(OSAHS) and its clinical significance. Methods Totally 86 patients with OSAHS were enrolled as OSAHS group, and were divided into mild group(n=32),moderate group(n=30) and severe group(n=24) according to the apnea-hypopnea index(AHI). Another 32 healthy subjects without OSAHS confirmed by polysomnography were selected as control group. The monocyte count(MC),HDL-C and MHR were compared among all groups. And the correlations of serum MC,HDL-C and MHR with AHI and the lowest blood oxygen saturation were analyzed. Results MC and MHR were higher but HDL-C level was lower in the OSAHS group than those in the control group(P<0. 05). MC and MHR decreased in turn in the severe, moderate and mild OSAHS groups(all P>0. 05). Pearson correlation analysis revealed that MC or MHR positively correlated with AHI,but negatively correlated with the lowest blood oxygen saturation, and HDL-C positively correlated with the lowest blood oxygen saturation(all P<0. 05). Conclusion Elevated MHR is seen in the OSAHS patients and MHR increases with the increasing severity of OSAHS,indicating MHR might be a new inflammatory factor for predicting the severity of OSAHS.
