Effects of Acupuncture Combined with Xingnao Kaiqiao Decoction Treating Acute Cerebral Infarction: Study on Neurological Deficit and Serum Level of IL-6, IL-8, and TNF-α

Abstract
Objective:To explore the effects of acupuncture combined with Xingnao Kaiqiao decoction on neurological deficit and serum IL-6, IL-8, and TNF-α in patients with acute cerebral infarction. Methods:68 patients with acute cerebral infarction were randomly divided into the control group (n =34) and the treatment group(n =34). The control group was given routine western medical treatment; on which basis, the treatment group was also treated with acupuncture combined with Xingnao Kaiqiao decoction. Clinical efficacy, changes of serum indexes, and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups after the four weeks of the treatment. Results:The neurological deficit was improved, serum levels of IL-6, IL-8, and TNF-α were decreased after the treatment in the two groups, of which the treatment group improved more with higher clinical efficacy (P＜0. 05). Conclusion:The therapy of acupuncture combined with Xingnao Kaiqiao decoction has good curative effect on neurological deficit in patients with acute cerebral infarction, it can relieve inflammation and improve nerve function.关键词
