Abstract
Objective:To observe the clinical effect of fire-needling and conventional acupuncture in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation (LDH), to explore the theory of the combination of fire-needling and acupotomy. Methods:80 patients were randomly divided into the Wen-tong group(n =40) and the control group(n = 40). The Wen-tong group was treated with fire-needling(guided by HE's Wen-Tong theory) combined with acupotomy, and the control group was treated with conventional acupuncture. JOA score and electromyogram were used to evaluate clinical effect. Results:Score of JOA and function of sciatic nerve conduction were significantly improved after the treatment in the both groups compared to those before the treatment(P ＜0. 05). There were remarkable electromyogram changes in the Wen-tong group after the treatment compared to that before the treatment(P ＜ 0. 05). Conclusion:HE's fire-needling therapy combined with acupotomy has an obvious advantage in treating LDH. The therapy can regulate the pathological factors and prevent recurrence, treating both cause and symptoms of the disease.关键词
