摘要

Abstract

Objective:To explore the therapeutic effect of seed-sized moxibustion on Alzheimer's disease (AD). Methods:The genotyping of transgenic mice were detected by PCR. The 45-day transgenic mice (Tg6799 mice) were randomly divided into the model group(n =9) and the treatment group(n = 8). Nine C57BL/6J female mice of the same age and from the same background were taken as the blank control. The treatment group was applied with seed-sized moxibustion on points of BL15 and BL23, the treatment was once per day for 90 days. Early neuronal injury was observed with Nissl's staining, expression of amyloid precursor protein(APP) in the area of cortex and hippocampus was detected by immunohistochemical method. Results: Nissl's staining showed that there was no obvious neuron loss after the early intervention of seed-sized moxibustion. APP expression in the area of cortex and hippocampus was significantly reduced in the treatment group compared to that in the model group (P < 0. 05). Conclusion:Early intervention of seed-sized moxibustion can reduce the expression of APP in APP/PS1 transgenic mice with AD, thus to restrain the formation of amyloid deposition.
