Abstract
Microstructure and mechanical properties of ZL101 alloys treated by Sb and Te modification were studied by optical microscope and tensile testing. The results show that the coarse plate-shaped eutectic silicon particles become smaller after Sb modification. And for the sand mold with slow cooling rate, the modification effects is general. The modification with 0.1wt% Sb addition can achieve the best effect and makes the eutectic silicon thinner along the width. When Te modification is less than 0.1wt%, the effect of modification is enhanced with the increase of addition, adding 0.1wt% Te is better than others. The modification of eutectic silicon is shorter in the direction of length and better for sand mold with slower cooling rate. But the addition of Te alone is not sufficient. The addition of 0.05wt.%Te+0.05wt.%Sb when using composite modification of Sb and Te can achieve the best modification effect, and the modification has a long-lasting effect, which is still excellent after holding for 2 h. After the composite modification, the tensile strength, yield strength and elongation have increased by 10.8%, 6.2% and 70.2%, respectively.关键词
