Abstract
As key equipment in maintaining safe and reliable operation of DC system, DC circuit breaker plays a vital role in establishing a DC grid, improving both flexibility and reliability of the grid. It is of significant importance to conduct modelling study for DC circuit breaker. In order to obtain an accurate response of DC breaker and maximize utilization of computational resources, this paper proposes an efficient DC breaker modelling method based on backward Euler theory. Firstly, the proposed modelling method is verified in PSCAD/EMTDC. Next, this paper conducts FPGA based hybrid breaker modelling study and a breaker testing system is established in hybrid power system simulation platform. Finally, this paper proposes a delay compensation method based on exponential decay of data transmission. Simulation results prove accuracy of the proposed method. Main contribution of this paper is a new breaker modelling method, and a communication delay compensation algorithm suitable for hybrid power system simulation platform.关键词
