Reliability Modeling and Assessment of Islanded Cyber Physical Microgrid System

Abstract
In order to quantify influence of information system on reliability of microgrid (MG), this paper presents a method of modeling and evaluating reliability of islanded MG from perspective of cyber physical fusion, and depicts MG reliability level and operational risk in a more detailed way. According to interaction mechanism of cyber and physical elements of islanded MG, a new three-state reliability model of circuit breaker is established using Markov process theory, providing a method for analyzing indirect cyber-physical interdependencies in islanded MG. Reliability models of communication networks are formulated based on correlation matrix and depth-first search method used in traditional communication network connectivity assessment. A system state generating method is presented to account for optimal operation strategy considering influence of the optimization strategy on failure consequence analysis. With the proposed cyber and physical reliability models, sequential Monte Carlo (SMC) simulation method is adopted to assess reliability of islanded MG. Simulations are carried out on a test system, and results verify feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed assessment method. Research results can help to further promote development of MG reliability evaluation.关键词
