Abstract

Study was conducted of the process of preparing calcium superphosphate with white phosphate fertilizer dry powder by concentrated sulfuric acid hydrolysis. The effect of the factors of sulfuric acid concentration, reaction time, dosage of sulfuric acid and fineness of white phosphate fertilizer on the quality of calcium superphosphate fresh fertilizer was investigated by single factor experiment. An orthogonal experiment was designed to obtain the influence of comprehensive factors on the white phosphate fertilizer by sulfuric acid hydrolysis. The results showed the optimal process condition being the concentration of sulfuric acid98%, the reaction time 15 minutes, the dosage of sulfuric acid100% of the theoretical amount and the particle size of white phosphate fertilizer 0. 15 mm. The effect of sulfuric acid dosage was the most significant. The content of available phosphorus, conversion rate of water soluble-phosphorus and content of free acid in the fresh fertilizer produced by the optimized process were21. 12%, 88. 99% and 22. 75%, respectively. After adding neutralizer, the content of free acid in the product decreased by 5. 3% with the content of available phosphorus being 19. 59%, the conversion rate of water soluble-phosphorus 78. 65% and the water content 3. 42%, which conforms to the national standard of premium loose calcium superphosphate product.
