Abstract

Research was conducted on the vaporized lithium salts crystallization law and lithium sulfate monohydrate extraction technology in the process of deep evaporation and concentration of sulfate-type lithium bearing brine for lithium extraction. With the brine in East Taijinaier Salt Lake as reference, the vaporized lithium salts crystallization law and the key factors affecting yield of lithium salts were obtained by multi-step evaporation and concentration using isothermal forced evaporation device. The high concentrated lithium brine with Li+content of 3. 14%and the ratio of Mg/Li reduced from 24. 52 to 1. 64 were obtained by the processes of removing sulfate in brine and multi-step deep evaporation. The lithium sulfate monohydrate was further experimentally produced and the key process data of lithium sulfate production by brine conversion were obtained with the non-recirculated recovery-rate for Li2SO4 up to 78. 18%. The experimental results would be valuable for the development and comprehensive utilization of the salt lake sulfate-type lithium resources.
