Relationship Among Proactive Personality,Social Support and Ego Identity of College Students

Abstract
Objective:To explore the relationships among proactive personality, social support and ego identity in college students. Methods:Proactive Personality Scale(PPS), Social Support Rating Scale(SSRS)and Extend Objective Measure of Ego Identity Status-2(EOM-EIS-2 ) were used to survey the sample of 348 (164males, 223females)college students. Results:The EOM-EIS-2 scores of identity achievement subscale and foreclosure subscale were higher in males than females(t = 2. 73, 2. 75, P<0. 001). The scores of PPS, SSRS and EOM-EIS-2 identity achievement subscale were positively correlated with each other(r = 0. 14 ~0. 54, P<0. 01 ). The scores of PPS positively predicted scores of EOM-EIS-2 identity achievement subscale, moratorium subscale and foreclosure subscale(β =0. 45, 0. 27, 0. 14). The scores of SSRS had a moderating effect between scores of PPS and EOM EIS-2 identity achievement subscale(F = 23. 93, P<0. 001). Conclusion:Social support has a moderating role on the relationship between proactive personality and the identity achievement subscale in college students.关键词
