Research and application of level adjustment method for structural design of high-rise building

Abstract
The differential shortening between vertical structural members of high-rise buildings under gravity loads may cause the transfer of gravity loads and produce secondary internal forces,which is disadvantageous for structural mechanical behavior. The level adjustment method of high-rise buildings with horizontal members hinged connected under gravity loads was proposed. All the horizontal members in the structural calculation model were hinge connected to the vertical members. The corresponding bracings for structures with diagonal bracings were also removed. Then the gravity loads of the structure were applied at once. The shortening of vertical members including walls and columns was made as uniform as possible through adjustment of structural arrangement and the section size of vertical members. After that,the horizontal members were reverted to be rigidly connected,and the diagonal bracings added. Then the integral structural analysis can be carried out. The proposed method can significantly reduce the secondary internal forces induced by differential shortening of vertical members,make floors leveling and prevent inclination of buildings. The method would be helpful for structural design safe,economical and reasonable,as well for the normal use of buildings.关键词
