摘要

Abstract

The reinforcement effect of the novel tubular EKG electrode on hydraulic fill mud was well compared with that of conventional plate EKG electrode by monitoring the strength, water content, settlement and pore pressure accumulation through the field test of electro-osmotic combining with vacuum preloading of a reclamation project in coastal of Ningbo, China. Test results showed that the soil in tubular EKG electrode treatment area had higher strength, larger settlement and quicker dissipation of pore water pressure. Particularly, the deep soil was significantly improved and had lower water content when compared with that of the plate EKG, which suggested that the tubular EKG material was more efficient in deep soil treatment. And the main reason lies in the fact that the drainage channel in tubular EKG is not easy to be clogged, thus providing more effective electrode material for electro-osmosis combined with vacuum preloading reinforcement of soft clay.
