摘要

Abstract

Objective:To investigate effect on the expression of osteocalcin and osteoclast cathepsin K (CK) in rats model of diabetic osteoporosis (DOP) by needling Jiaji points (EX-B2). Methods:There were 50 SD male rats, in which 10 rats were used as the control, 40 rats were given intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin(STZ) combined with high fat and high glucose diet to make DOP model. The qualified DOP model rats were randomly divided into acupuncture group, positive drug group and model group, and were given acupuncture at Jiaji points (EX-B2), calcium carbonate and alfacalcidol, saline gavage, respectively. After 6 weeks of intervention, bone mineral density (BMD), bone histomorphometry, serum osteocalcin (OC), and osteoclast CK were detected. Results:After 6 weeks of intervention, compared with the DOP models, acupuncture could increase the BMD obviously with statistical difference(P<0.01), increase expression of serum OC, suppress expression of osteoclast CK of the DOP rats, but there was no statistical difference compared with the positive drug group (P>0.05). Conclusion:Acupuncture on Jiaji points (EX-B2) could increase expression of OC and suppress expression of osteoclast CK to regulate bone metabolism, and hence it is effect for relieving bone loss in DOP rats.
