Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the effect of manipulative reduction and small splint fixation combined with Jinhuang Ointment on the treatment of distal radial fractures. Methods: Total 138 patients with distal radial fractures treated in the clinic of our hospital from May 2014 to May 2016 were randomly divided into the control group and the treatment group. Both group were treated with manipulative reduction and small splint fixation, and the treatment group was also given external application of Jinhuang Ointment. Results:All patients were followed for 6 to 12 months, with the average time of 9 months. In the treatment group, the time of swelling disappearance of the wrist was 4～12 days,with the average time of (7.75 ±2.20)days,while in the control group was 7—14 days,with the average time of (10.09 ±1.88) days. In the treatment group,the pain relief time was 3～7 days, with the average time of (5.06 ±1.27) days, while in the control group was 5～10 days,with the average time of (7.93 ±1.45) days,with significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05). The small splint fixation was removed after fracture healing, and the wrist and hand function was evaluated. In the treatment group, there were 37 excellent cases, 25 good cases, 6 fair cases, with the excellent and good rate being 91.2％, while in the control group, there were 39 excellent cases, 24 good cases, 7 fair cases, with the excellent and good rate being 90％. There was no statistical difference between the two groups on the excellent and good rate (P>0.05). Conclusion: External application of Jinhuang Ointment in the distal radial fractures treated with manipulative reduction and small splint fixation can significantly relive swelling and stop pain, and it plays a positive role in promoting the recovery of patients and reducing the pain.关键词
