Tripping Strategy of Multi Criteria of Last Breaker Protections Based on Dynamic Weight Correction D-S Evidence Theory

Abstract
The last breaker protection is one of the most important protection of high voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission system. Due to various operation scenarios of HVDC, single criterion of last breaker protection cannot suit every scenario. The "2-out-of-3" voting strategy is often used in practice to integrate multiple protection criteria, however, it is possible that the majority of criteria make mistakes in some scenarios, which may reduce the correct-judgement rate of"2-out-of-3" voting strategy. Combining with the existing arrester based last circuit breaker protection and two kinds of improved protections, a tripping strategy of arrester based last breaker protections based on dynamic weight correction D-S evidence theory was designed to integrate different results in this paper. According to the weight coefficient obtained by previous two protection actions, D-S evidence theory was used to integrate the results of different criteria, so as to improve the correct rate of protection in various scenarios. At last, by constructing a simplified simulation model of ±800kV"Xiangjiaba-Shanghai" ultra high voltage direct current (UHVDC) transmission system, the accuracy of the proposed strategy and other combining methods were compared in 1000 cases and other 12 cases, the accuracy rates are 98. 5% and 50% respectively, both of them are the highest among all the methods, thus the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed strategy are verified.关键词
