Abstract
Objective To observe the effect of auricular acupuncture combined with Chinese medicine on improving in-somnia in patients with post-stroke depression. Methods Eighty patients with post-stroke depression and insomnia who were admitted in our hospital from May 1, 2016 to October 31, 2017 were selected as study subjects. They were randomly divided into control group and study group, with 40 patients in each group. The control group was given conventional antidepressant western medicine treatment, and the study group was added with auricular beans combined with traditional Chinese medicine on the basis of conventional western medicine treatment. The scores of depression, sleep quality, quality of life, adverse reactions during treatment and the total effectiveness of treatment were compared between the two groups before and after treatment were compared. Results Before treatment, there was no significant difference in depression score, sleep quality score and quality of life score between the two groups (P＞0. 05). After treat- ment, depression and sleep quality scores were lower in the study group than those in the control group. The quality of life score and the total effective rate of treatment in the study group were significantly higher than those in the control group. There was significant difference between the two groups(P＜0. 05). There was no significant difference in the inci- dence of adverse reactions between the two groups during treatment(P＞0. 05). Conclusion The auricular beans combined with traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of patients with post-stroke depression and insomnia can not only ef- fectively improve the patients' symptoms of depression and insomnia, but also promote the improvement of patients' quality of life and overall treatment efficiency. And the response rate of toxic and side reactions during treatment is low. Therefore it is a safe and efficient combination treatment program.关键词
