摘要

Abstract

The influence of laser on the droplet transfer during the inert gas shielded arc welding (MIG) was studied. The MIG welding experimental platform, including the laser source, was set up, which realizes the acquisition of the high speed image and the welding signal collection. In the process of small current welding, a continuous laser and a pulsed laser with a certain power density were introduced. The results show that the effect of continuous laser on the droplet transfer is not obvious. With the introduction of the pulsed laser, the transition of the droplet transfer from the short circuit to the emitter can be realized, and the stability of the arc combustion can be improved effectively.
