Abstract
Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of olopatadine hydrochloride and pranoprofen for elderly patients with vernal keratoconjunctivitis.Methods 104 elderly patients with vernal keratoconjunctivitis (208 eyes) treated at our hospital from August,2016 to August,2017 were selected and randomly and doubleblindly divided into a control group and a combination group,52 cases (104 eyes) for each group.The control group were treated with olopatadine hydrochloride;in addition,the combination group were treated with pranoprofen.Both groups were treated for 14 days.The improvement of clinical symptoms in the two groups was observed before and after the treatment;the clinical effects of the two groups were compared;and the adverse drug reactions were recorded in detail.Results After the treatment,the scores of redness,photophobia,eye foreign body sensation,and eye secretion symptom were (0.98 ± 0.39),(0.76 ± 0.32),(1.06 ± 0.41),and (1.03 ± 0.42) in the combination group,and were (1.75 ± 0.63),(1.35 ± 0.57),(1.98 ± 0.69),and (1.82 ± 0.65) in the control group,with statistical differences (all P < 0.05).The total effective rate was higher in the combination group than in the control group (96.16% vs.80.77%),with a statistical difference (P < 0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions was 2.91% in the combination group,and was 1.92% in the control group,with no statistical difference (P > 0.05).Conclusions Olopatadine hydrochloride and pranoprofen for elderly patients with vernal keratoconjunctivitis is effective and safe and can alleviate their symptoms.关键词
