Abstract
Objective To investigate the indwelling time and related complications of peripherally inserted needle in children.Methods 535 children admitted to our hospital from October 17,2016 to November 27,2016 were selected,the indwelling needle was peripherally inserted by nurses,the indwelling time and complications of the indwelling needle were observed.Results There were no statistically significant differences in the incidences of phlebitis,infection of puncture point,blockage between children with indwelling time within 72 h and children with indwelling time over 72 h (11.9％ vs.9.6％,2.1％ vs.3.2％,5.2％ vs.6.4％) (P＞0.05),there was statistically significant difference in the incidence of exudation of vascular tissue between children with indwelling time within 72 h and children with indwelling time over 72 h (17.8％ vs.6.0％) (P＜0.001),the total incidence of complications in children with indwelling time within 72 h was higher than that in children with indwelling time over 72 h (37.1％ vs.25.3％) (P＜0.001).Conclusion Prolonged indwelling time does not increase the incidence of complications.关键词
