Study on the State of the Modified Middle Cerebral Artery Occlusion Model in Rats with Different Time Window
摘要
Abstract
Objective: To investigate Changes of neurological function score and cerebral infarction area of brain in rats at different time window after making modified middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) model. Methods: Making SD rats (185.0±10.0 g) modified MCAO model using thread ligation, pulled out wire after plug for reperfusion in 2 h. Included rats were randomly divided them into 3 groups (n = 24), 1-day group, 7-day group and 14-day group. After the modified neurological severity scores (mNSS) was applied to the rats at different time, the infarct size of the brain tissue was revealed by TTC staining.Results: mNSS showed that there was significant difference between 1-day group and 7-day group (P<0.05); but there was no significant difference between 7-day group and 14-day group (P>0.05).TTC staining result showed that there was no significant difference between 1-day group and 7-day group, (P>0.05); but there was a significant difference between 7-day group and 14-day group on brain infarction area (P<0.05). Conclusion: Behavioral status of modified MCAO rats changed during the 7-day, but the morphology of brain changed in 14-day, the changes of behavioral status and morphology of brain are not happen at the same time.关键词
