Classification and Significance of Pore Throat Combination of Chang 8 Tight Sandstone Reservoir in Zhenjing Area, Ordos Basin

Abstract
As a kind of unconventional reservoir, continental tight sandstone reservoir has complex pore throat combination types.Hence, it is meaningful to study the micro pore structure to understand the characteristics of tight sandstone reservoir.On the basis of sufficient investigations of tight reservoir microscopic pore structure classification method, the pore structures of Chang 8 tight sandstone reservoir in southern Ordos Basin is classified, by casting thin sections, scanning electron microscopy, and mercury injection data.The study shows that Chang 8 reservoir develops a variety of pore types, mainly including primary residual intergranular pores, dissolution enlarged intergranular pores, intragranular pores of dissolution grains and micropores formed mainly by kaolinite.The throat type is mainly composed of curved sheet, and the throat size is divided into wide sheet, narrow slice and ultra-narrow slice according to the correlation between the throat size and the percentage of movable fluid.Three basic types of pore throat combination are identified:the intergranular pore-curved lamellar throat, intragranular pore throat and curved lamellar micropore group-curved lamellar throat.Futhermore, it can be divided into 7 kinds of pore throat combination type according to the throat size.Different pore throat combination types are formed in different sedimentary diagenetic background, with different physical characteristics and mercury intrusion parameter characteristics, which provides a solid geological basis for the classification of tight sandstone reservoirs.关键词
