Abstract

Because of designing improper mechanism buffer, it is possible to bring very much large overshoot to internal moving component of high-voltage switch. It is especially obvious for moving component of fast earth switch (FES). Firstly in this paper, mechanism buffer is designed based on passive buffer mechanical model. By means of changing the buffer dimensions, it is analyzed the buffer influence to moving component overshoot of FES. The buffer dimensions is selected as a mainly research object, meanwhile taking into account the closing speed and FES internal structure. It is discussed of the moving component overshoot in different circumstances. The test schemes are obtained by the orthogonal test design by means of FES moving component actual motion curve. Then the moving component overshoot and buffer absorbed positions are obtained in all test schemes. The GA-BP neural networks by measuring and optimum training are constructed by test data. At the same time, it is predicted by the GA-BP neural networks and then obtained the curve of moving component overshoot and buffer absorbed position in different closing speed and buffer dimensions. When the closing buffer dimensions are above of 20 mm, moving component of FES overshoot is very small. Finally it is best safety guarantee for the high-voltage switch reliability operation.
