Abstract
Objective: To compare Suanzaoren (Semen Ziziphi Spinosae) and Chaihu (Bupleurum) by adjusting the slow-wave sleep to promote the height of animals. Methods: By giving mice Extract of Suanzaoren (Semen Ziziphi Spinosae) (zs) and extracts from Chaihu (Bupleurum) (0.32 mg/g, 0.94 mg/g weight to fill the stomach), we compared the effect of two drugs on growth of pubertal mice body length, caused mice growth hormone content, serotonin content changes and serotonin 1 a receptor content changes. We detected the slow wave sleep, compared the effect of two drugs in promoting bone increased, and clarify its mechanism of action. Results: Extracts of Suanzaoren (Semen Ziziphi Spinosae) (zs) on growth of pubertal mice body length, cause change of the role of growth hormone levels in mice were better than that of extracts from Chaihu (Bupleurum) after 20 days; And extract of Suanzaoren (Semen Ziziphi Spinosae) (zs) can improve the expression of brain 5-HT1 AR amount, and extracts from Chaihu (Bupleurum) can promote the brain 5-HT content increases. Conclusion: The effect of Extracts from Suanzaoren (Semen Ziziphi Spinosae) (zs) in promoting animal growth in length is better than that of extracts from Chaihu (Bupleurum). The mechanism may be extract of Suanzaoren (Semen Ziziphi Spinosae) (zs) by improving the brain 5-HT1 AR content and combine with 5-HT, extend the slow wave sleep time, so as to promote the secretion of growth hormone. And extracts from Chaihu (Bupleurum) cause brain 5-HT high expression, but May 5-HT at the same time, combining with other receptors promote slow wave sleep and animal bones growth is worse than the extract of Suanzaoren (Semen Ziziphi Spinosae) (zs).关键词
