摘要

Abstract

To meet the requirements of long pulse and high repetition rate electron beam in high power microwave radiation source,we put forward a device which can produce repetition frequency electron beam from vacuum arc plasma at low values of dc arc current, and the device contains copper plate cathode and cylindrical hollow anode with stainless steel mesh on the bottom and outlet hole on the top. The extraction power supply is designed based on MOSFET controlled by DSP, extracting an electron beam from a hollow anode vacuum arc plasma cathode. At the same time, the self-excited circuit is adopted to solve the problem of DC arc discharge extinction, which effectively ensures the continuous discharge time and stability of arc discharge. The experimental results show that the pulse frequency and duty ratio of electron beam current are modulated by the extraction voltage. And, in a certain range, the beam current increases with improvement of the extraction voltage tol the saturation values, and the maximum reaches up to 1A. Meanwhile, the excessive frequency and pulse width of the extraction of voltage is not conducive to the stability of the beam current.
