Abstract
Objective To discuss surgical treatment for hidradenitis suppurative. Methods Six patients (8 defects) were treated surgically in our department from September 2010 to April 2013. Methylene blue was used to define the lesion area before operation, resect all skin and subcutaneous tissues in the marked area until deep fascia. Excision and primary closure (2 defects), skin grafting (3 defects) and flap/myocutaneous flaps (3 defects) were applied according to the peculiarities of the defects. Results All wounds healed well expect partial skin graft necrosis in one case. The follow-up period after surgery ranged from 6 to 27 months. Local recurrence was discovered in one patient 3 months after surgery. Conclusion The only successful way to treat extensive hidradenitis suppurative is wide surgical excision. The methods of reconstruction varied depending on the size and location of the defect. Compared with skin grafts, skin flaps or myocutaneous flaps are better choices to prevent complication, avoid recurrence, and improve patients’ quality of life.关键词
