Hepatic macrophages in liver injury and repair
摘要
Abstract
Hepatic macrophages play a critical role in the pathogenesis of liver injury and repair. It is noted that, based on the distinct origins and phe-notypes, hepatic macrophages can clear bacterial pathogens, antigens, promote or inhibit the liver in-flammation, which directly participate in the liver disease development and repair. This article reviews the functions and phenotypes of hepatic macropha- ges, and their roles in the different stages of liver in-jury and repair. Also, the potential macrophage-tar-geted therapies against liver diseases were also sum-marized.关键词
