Abstract
Objective To investigate the influence of cataract phacoemulsification and small incision cataract extracapsular extraction on quality of life in senile cataract patients. Methods 70 cases of senile cataract were chosen as experimental subjects, and were divided into control group and research group randomly. The research group was treated with small incision cataract extracapsular extraction, while the control group was treated with cataract phacoemulsification. After treatment, eyesight, astigmatism, visual function, quality of life, and complications were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the eyesight and astigmatism of the two groups increased, and the eyesight and astigmatism of the research group were higher than those of the control group (P<0.05).After treatment, the scores of activity limitation, sensory adaptation, peripheral vision, stereoscopic sensation, and the total score in the research group [(66.25±11.53),(81.42±8.56),(78.53±10.05),(85.39±12.58),(71.93±11.52)] were higher than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05).After treatment, the quality of life of the two groups improved, the self-care,activity,social,psychological and overall quality of the research group were better than those of the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05).The incidence of corneal edema and complications in the research group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion Small incision cataract extracapsular extraction has better improvement on quality of life in senile cataract patients, whose effect is better than that of cataract phacoemulsification, with better safety.关键词
