Abstract
A transmitted optical fiber liquid level sensor is designed to measure liquid level. The sensing part of the sensor us?es the high-elasticity stainless steel as a sensing diaphragm and it is manufactured by using the principle of coupling loss between optical fibers. The design takes advantage of the theoretical characteristic curve of pressure and light intensity between optical fi?bers,through the analysis of theoretical modeling and actual experiment,the effects of stainless steel diaphragm diameter and thick?ness,distance between the incident fiber and the receiving fiber on the sensitivity of the designed sensor are obtained which provide a reference for the optimal parameters of the sensor designing. According to the experimental results,the diameter of stainless steel diaphragm can be used around 2.5cm,the thickness can be selected 0.02mm,and the distance between the incident fiber and the receiving fiber can be chosen about 1cm. Under this specification,the designed optical fiber liquid level sensor has a good perfor?mance.关键词
