摘要

Abstract

The underwater acoustic communication network is one of the rapidly developing communication network technolo?gy fields in recent years. In the acoustic environment,the energy limitation is the main problem that needs to be solved. The media access control is a key part of the underwater acoustic network design,and it is also the main reason for node energy consumption. The S-MAC protocol as the most representative MAC layer protocol has a good performance in energy conservation,but the S-MAC protocol still has some deficiencies. For the problems existing in the S-MAC protocol,this paper improves on it and simulates the improved protocol. The simulation results show that the improved S-MAC protocol not only reduces the energy consumption,but al?so has better performance in terms of throughput and delay.
