Investigating Users'Tagging Behavior in Online Academic Community: Analysis Based on Growth Model
摘要
Abstract
Taking the online academic community (CiteULike) as an example, studying the growth models of users'tag applications and its influencing factors can help managers to understand users'tagging behavior and provide an important basis for predicting the user's future tagging behavior. [Method/Process]Based on user tag data collected from CiteULike, this paper attempts to investigate top 1000 users' ( according to their number of tag applications) tagging behavior using growth model. After identifying the growth model for each user, the paper uses multinomial logistic regression method to analyze factors which may influence the growth mod﹣el of tag applications. [Result/Conclusion]The research results show that 74% users'tag applications are consistent with fluctuating mod﹣el, and 21. 2% users'tag applications exhibit the characteristics of normal model. The number of users whose tag applications belong to damped exponential model is less than 5% of the total number. And the growth models of tag applications are mainly affected by tag and resource features.关键词
