摘要

Abstract

Subacute ruminal acidosis ( SARA ) is a prevalent nutritional metabolic disorder in dairy cows, which has seriously affected the economic benefits of dairy industry. Thiamine is an essential nutrient substance for dairy cows, thiamine supplementation in high-grain diets could alleviate SARA, increase ruminal pH and maintain rumen health. This article reviewed the biochemical functions of thiamine, effects of thiamine on ru-men microflora, metabolites and rumen epithelial barrier function in SARA dairy cows, in order to provide a reference for the practical application of thiamine in dairy cow production.[ Chinese Journal of Animal Nutri-tion, 2019, 31(2) :530-535]
