摘要

Abstract

Skeletal muscle is an important component of the animal body and closely related to the growth, movement and metabolism of living body. Previous studies shown that the increasing in skeletal muscle mass depended on the relative rate of protein synthesis and degradation, and the efficiency of protein synthesis main-ly depended on the dietary composition and content of amino acids. Lysine ( Lys) and other cationic amino acids are essential amino acids for the growth and development of animals, while the cationic amino acid trans-porters ( CATs) are the major transporters for cellular uptake these cationic amino acids, and play an important role in the absorption of basic amino acids such as lysine and arginine. This review focused on the classifica-tion, function, expression regulation as well as the regulation mechanism of CATs, aimed to provide a theoret-ical reference for the high uptake and utilization efficiency of amino acids.[ Chinese Journal of Animal Nutri-tion, 2019, 31(2) :567-574]
