Abstract
In consideration of the problem of power imbalance in the amplitude shifted carrier modulation for cascaded H-bridge(CHB)multilevel inverter,two different power balance control strategies are proposed,in which 1/4 output cycles and the nearby intervals of uplink/downlink carriers are commuted,respectively. The switching frequency and turn-on time of power devices in different H-bridge cells can approach each other through changing the arrangement of triangular carriers. The output voltage waveform of each H-bridge cell is adjusted,such that the power balance among H-bridge cells in one output cycle can be achieved while guaranteeing the quality of output waveform. The two new mod?ulation strategies are analyzed and compared in detail,and simulation results verify the validity of the two balance strat?egies.关键词
