Abstract
In consideration of the variation of the source-load structure of distribution network and the power flow level, a novel fault location method is proposed in this paper with the application of equivalent network principle. Based on the distributed parameter model,the electrical data collected in a distributed way are used to calculate the voltage and cur?rent at each node along the line,thus determining the fault area initially. Then,the equivalent network parameters at both ends of the fault area are calculated. Finally,on the basis of the network,the fault location is analyzed and deter?mined in light of different fault types. Combined with engineering practices,a distribution network model with distribut?ed generations(DG)is constructed in PSCAD,and the proposed fault location principle is verified by simulations, showing that the proposed method is suitable for various fault types at different locations of distribution network.关键词
