摘要

Abstract

Metamaterial concept is used to enhance the bandwidth of multi-band microstrip patch antennas.The designed antenna consists of rectangular patch as meta-resonator radiator with 3 × 3 complementary symmetrical split ring resonator(CSSRR) etched in ground plane.The CSSRR loaded ground plane acts as lens to increase the gain by collecting fields generated by the patch.Equivalent circuit model of proposed meta-resonator antenna is discussed in detail and the results are calculated numerically using HFSS software.The designed meta-resonator antenna can work with multi-band in C-band and X-band with good characteristics,and provide the enhanced bandwidth with more notches as compared to conventional antennas.
