Abstract

The problem of excessive indoor pass-by noise of a prototype SUV based on the GB 1495-20×× draft is studied. An acoustic camera is used to test the vehicle under specified conditions to locate the main noise sources quickly and accurately on a low-noise four-wheel-drive revolving drum test table in the semi-anechoic chamber. Then the shielding method is applied to quantify and rank the contribution of main sources to the vehicle’s indoor pass-by noise. Based on the contribution analysis results, corresponding correction measures are proposed. The effect of the rectification and improvement measures is verified. The results show that the indoor pass-by noise is reduced by 2.8 dB(A) compared to the original car and the requirement for benchmarking is achieved. This work can provide a reference for improving the efficiency and testing consistency of the pass-by noise contribution analysis test.
