Abstract
The problem of periodic buzzing in an SUV traveling at high speed is studied. The LMS Test. Lab test equipment is used to investigate the engine, clutch, gearbox, transmission shaft, main reducer, rear axle and tires of the SUV. The cause of the periodic buzzing is found. By thickening the middle shaft of the gearbox, the shaft stiffness is increased so that the second order resonance with the engine is avoided. At the same time, the torsional vibration is tested and analyzed. And an 87 Hz torsional vibration damper is installed. At last, the periodic buzzing is completely eliminated. This study provides a practical method for investigating the abnormal noise of transmission systems.关键词
