Abstract

Aiming at the problem that the temperature switch can not obtain the time constant according to the conventional method, a method for testing dynamic characteristic of temperature switch was proposed. A temperature sensor was used as standard device, the temperature source was control by program so as to raise the temperature according to a certain rate and record the temperature value in real time. In accordance with the different temperature gradient for continuous implementation twice, mathematical model was established adopting obtained action temperature data, thus the time constant of temperature switch was get. Different temperature sensors were selected as standard device, to test two German-made temperature switch, analysis influence on the calculated time constant. The experimental results show that the maximum relative error of the calculated time constant is 4.86%, which meets the test requirements of time constant of temperature switch. This method can be extended to study other types of switches, such as humidity switches.
