Abstract

The low-resistivity gas reservoirs in the Sulige gas field developed.In the past few years, researchers have made unremitting explorations on its causes and solutions, but it has not been able to find a suitable evaluating method by using conventional logging data.The appearance of the resistivity ratio method provides a new method for the evaluation of low resistivity gas reservoirs.The application of the resistivity ratio method in the Sulige gas field shows that when the deep resistivity of the low resistivity gas layer is reduced, the resistivity of the flushing zone will be lower.It is considered that this viewpoint is universal in the Sulige gas field.The resistivity ratio method can eliminate the influence of lithology and the change of formation water salinity on the resistivity, and then achieve the purpose of evaluating the low resistivity gas layer.This method has achieved remarkable results in the Sulige gas field, and its log interpretation coincidence rate has increased to more than 90%.It is an effective method to explain the low resistivity gas layer using conventional logging data, which is worth further promotion.
