摘要

Abstract

To research the thermal security of lithium-ion power battery used in electric vehicles, with 3.2 Ah lithium-ion power battery as the research object, a three-dimensional mathematical model was built to analyse the thermal characteristic of lithium-ion power battery in the state of different discharge rates and different ambient temperature by the simulation and experiment temperature on the thermal characteristics of lithium-ion power battery were investigated. The results illustrate that temperature rising curve of the lithium-ion battery is nonlinear, the temperature rise rate increases obviously at the end of discharge; the temperature rising and temperature rising rate increase with the increasing of the charge/discharge rate; their temperature variation trends are basically the same, so the mathematical model can accurately describe the thermal behavior of the lithium-ion battery. The simulation and experimental analysis of thermal characteristics of lithium-ion battery could provide abundant data basis for studying temperature rising of battery pack and design of thermal management system.
