摘要

Abstract

DC arc fault is an important cause of electrical fire accidents in photovoltaic systems. This paper analyzed the mechanism and fault characteristics of DC arc faults, summarized the current arc fault detection methods and related detection standards. The existing arc fault detection methods mainly rely on the time-frequency domain characteristics of arc voltage and current. Besides, this paper pointed out the deficiency of the current arc fault detection methods, that is mainly due to high frequency noise from the inverter and the harmonics of the power grid, easily leading to protection malfunction. Finally, the development direction of arc fault detection technology was prospected, including arc fault multi-source information fusion technology, adaptive protection and arc fault location and so on.
