Unified Equivalent Model of Battery Energy Storage System at DC Side for Power Grid

Abstract
To satisfy the simulation requirements of various types of energy storage system in the power grid, it is necessary to construct a DC-side unified model that accurately reflects the characteristics and charge and discharge characteristics for various types of energy storage system.Setting example for three types of energy storage about lithium-ion batteries, lead-acid batteries, and liquid flow batteries, combined the similarities and differences between the common equivalent circuit models with fully considering the external characteristics of charge and dischargel, a unified equivalent model of the DC side of the energy storage system was constructed.Finally, based on the actual charge and discharge experimental data, the effectiveness and accuracy for the unified equivalent model at DC side were tested.The results show that the proposed model can effectively describe the external charge and discharge characteristics of typical electrochemical energy storage, and the identification parameters are stable and meet the requirements of power system simulation.关键词
